Job Title: Maintenance Director
Location: Bergen County, NJ
Shift: Full-Time 8am - 4pm
Salary: $80,000–$85,000 per year (Based on experience)

We are looking for a hands-on Maintenance Director to lead and actively participate in the maintenance operations of our healthcare facility. This role requires someone who is not only capable of managing a team but is also comfortable rolling up their sleeves to get the job done alongside their staff. If you're a proactive problem solver with technical know-how and a strong work ethic, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and actively participate in daily maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, generators, and general facility upkeep.

Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment and infrastructure are safe, clean, and operating efficiently.

Develop maintenance staff schedules and provide strong team supervision and support.

Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, inspections, warranties, and preventive maintenance activities.

Respond to emergency maintenance issues with urgency and professionalism.

Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, labor laws, and safety regulations.

Coordinate and manage facility repairs, upgrades, and new equipment installations.

Work collaboratively with other departments and administration to maintain a high standard of facility safety and cleanliness.

Communicate regularly through internal channels, including WhatsApp team group chats.
Requirements:

Must be available 24/7 for emergency maintenance situations.

Strong working knowledge of building systems and general maintenance practices in healthcare environments.

Excellent leadership and planning skills with a hands-on management approach—leading by example and working directly with your team when needed.

Ability to make sound, independent decisions and solve problems efficiently.

Skilled in inspecting and maintaining facility infrastructure, equipment, and resident rooms.

Experience in managing maintenance supplies, equipment, and budgeting.

Proficient in English, both written and verbal.

Willingness to explore and implement new maintenance methods and technologies.
