This team sits at the nexus of our investment professionals and global markets, working closely with traders, portfolio managers, and desk aligned trading assistants to automate and optimize the execution and booking of trades. The team supports high and low touch flows across a diverse set of asset classes, from equities, futures, and options to commodities, FX, and fixed income products. Aiming to build a unified, best-in-class trading technology platform that can scale with the diversity and volume of our markets and give us a competitive edge when attacking new commercial opportunities.

Responsibilities:

- Provide first and second level support for Front Office staff (Traders, Investment Professionals, Trading Assistants) to quickly identify and resolve issues as they arise and ensure continuity of the business.
- Work closely with business stakeholders and engineering partners to gather business requirements and liaise with various IT teams to ensure delivery of functionality.
- Work in all aspects of user / strategy application support
- Assist in the deployment, checkout, and QA testing of applications.
- Participate in global coverage of system support & SOD/intraday health checks.
- Work closely with the back-office teams to remedy issues related to security setups, trade booking, corporate actions, price breaks, and bookkeeping entries.

Qualifications:
\n

- First-hand experience supporting trading systems within the finance industry
- Experience with Unix/Linux
- Experience with SQL databases
- Proficiency in a scripting language, preferably Python and shell.
- Deep understanding of trading workflows and the ability to trouble shoot breaks
- Strong FIX protocol knowledge
- Excellent incident management skills
- Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical colleagues alike
- Strong critical reasoning skills
- Detail-oriented approach to solving problems
- Enthusiasm for learning & results oriented
- Proficient context switcher in fast paced, mission critical environment
- Strong work ethic & high degree of integrity
- Self-starter that demonstrates a strong sense of ownership, execution, and ability to work and deliver results with minimal supervision
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science or related field of study
