Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join one of our clients teams at (1) of their properties in St. Paul, MN (55106). The ideal candidate will have 2 years' experience in residential maintenance and have experience with unit turns, be self-motivated, be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficient. This role will be helping to prepare the building for an NSPIRE inspection. This role is a 2-3 week contract.

Salary: $28-$30/hour DOQ.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5pm.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing property plumbing, appliances, HVAC, and equipment to ensure it is kept in good condition and operates correctly. Respond to Yardi Maintenance requests and assist with unit turns.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

  • Provide residents with exceptional customer service and foster good resident relations
  • Be a valuable part of an effective on-site team
  • Maintain daily service request system and complete service requests
  • Perform follow up calls on service requests as necessary
  • Maintain preventive maintenance schedule and complete preventive maintenance
  • Maintain physical appearance of the community
  • Work after-hours emergency on-call rotation, as scheduled
  • Perform apartment turnover duties
  • Maintain maintenance inventory
  • Maintain safe and organized maintenance shop, storage, and mechanical rooms
  • Maintain lock out/tag out station of keys
  • Maintain apartment history cards, lighting, and snow logs
  • Work with contractors on snow removal, lawn care, etc.
  • Monitor HVAC equipment
  • Shovel/sweep using broom, shovel snow
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 2 years' experience in residential maintenance.
  • Boilers license is preferred.
  • CPO certification is preferred.
  • Experience in unit turns.
  • Preventative maintenance and completing work orders is required.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation as this role will eventually have on-call.
  • Be able to pass a Kari Koskinen background check.
