About the Role

Premier Global Links LLC is seeking a Clinical Engineering Cybersecurity Specialist to support the technical execution of a medical device cybersecurity program within a hospital environment in Far Rockaway, NY.

This position combines clinical/biomedical engineering, medical device cybersecurity, healthcare IT, vulnerability management, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has experience working with biomedical equipment or connected medical devices AND healthcare cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and maintain critical cybersecurity data elements and manufacturer documentation for medical devices.
  • Maintain accurate medical device cybersecurity and asset information in CMMS platforms.
  • Perform cybersecurity risk assessments for medical devices using asset information and manufacturer guidance.
  • Configure connected medical devices according to cybersecurity requirements and manufacturer recommendations.
  • Coordinate vulnerability remediation, including patching, upgrades, mitigation, and responses to emerging threats.
  • Investigate cybersecurity alerts and high- and critical-risk vulnerabilities affecting medical devices.
  • Coordinate medical device cybersecurity activities with manufacturers, Clinical Engineering/HTM, and Healthcare IT.
  • Develop recommendations for vulnerability mitigation and remediation.
  • Support testing and validation of network segmentation controls for connected medical devices.
  • Track vulnerability remediation activities, cybersecurity metrics, and KPIs.
  • Support cybersecurity audits and compliance activities involving healthcare requirements.
  • Maintain cybersecurity documentation and medical device asset records.
  • Coach BMETs and Clinical Engineering teams on basic medical device cybersecurity practices.
  • Support IT projects that affect connected medical devices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve cybersecurity practices across Clinical Engineering and IT.
  • Participate in relevant cybersecurity workgroups and professional forums.

Required Qualifications

  • Biomedical/biomed or Clinical Engineering experience OR hands-on professional experience supporting medical devices.
  • Healthcare cybersecurity experience.
  • Experience with medical device cybersecurity, connected medical devices, or healthcare technology environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience with CMMS platforms and medical device asset management.
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST and ISO.
  • Knowledge of applicable healthcare cybersecurity and regulatory requirements, including FDA, HIPAA, and Joint Commission requirements.
  • Strong technical analysis, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CISSP
  • HCISPP
  • CEH
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Additional healthcare IT, biomedical engineering, or medical device cybersecurity certifications.
  • Experience with vulnerability management or network segmentation in healthcare environments.
