POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, repair, and operational functionality of a portfolio of commercial real estate and hospitality assets. This role reports directly to the Facilities Manager and is both hands-on and vendor-coordinated, meaning the technician will either perform repairs directly or engage and oversee approved third-party vendors to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality completion of work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintenance & Repairs
\tPerform routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance across building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, kitchen/restaurant equipment, and general facilities
\tDiagnose issues, troubleshoot root causes, and implement timely repairs
\tMaintain all properties in accordance with Elia Group standards for safety, cleanliness, and operational performance
Vendor Coordination & Oversight
\tCoordinate with approved vendors for specialized repairs, maintenance, and service contracts
\tSupervise vendor work on-site to ensure quality, compliance, and adherence to scope, timing, and cost expectations
\tAssist in obtaining quotes, evaluating vendor performance, and escalating issues to the Facilities Manager as needed
\tEnsure all vendor activity aligns with company policies, insurance requirements, and safety standards
Preventative Maintenance
\tExecute and support preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend asset life
\tMaintain maintenance logs, service records, and equipment histories
Operational Support
\tRespond promptly to maintenance requests from restaurant and property teams
\tSupport new openings, build-outs, and special projects as directed
\tIdentify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and long-term asset preservation
Communication & Reporting
\tProvide regular updates to the Facilities Manager on open items, completed work, and ongoing issues
\tMaintain clear documentation of all work performed (in-house and vendor-based)
\tEscalate major repairs, risks, or capital needs in a timely manner
Safety & Compliance
\tAdhere to all company safety policies and applicable codes/regulations
\tPromote a culture of safety with a goal of zero incidents
\tEnsure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and PPE
QUALIFICATIONS
\t3+ years of maintenance experience in commercial, retail, or hospitality environments (restaurant experience preferred)
\tWorking knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, and general construction trades
\tExperience coordinating and managing third-party vendors and service providers
\tStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach
\tAbility to prioritize and respond effectively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment
\tValid drivers license and reliable transportation
\tHigh School diploma or equivalent
\tAuthorized to work in the United States

This is a full-time role requiring regular on-site presence across portfolio locations. The position involves frequent travel between venues and properties, including active restaurant and entertainment environments.
