Mural is partnering with a growing power infrastructure and field services company to add experienced DC talent across East Tennessee and nearby regions. If your best days are spent in telecom central offices, substations, and data centers, keeping battery plants and DC systems healthy, this field-based role may be your next move. We’re hiring Level III technicians and high-level Level IV working foremen who can lead crews, drive safe execution, and set the technical tone on-site. Your week, at a glance
Monday begins at the Knoxville office—arrive by 8:00 AM to align on priorities, pick up gear, and roll out. From there, you’ll head to customer sites for a mix of planned work and rapid-response tasks. You might execute a hot cut in a central office, commission a DC power plant at a data center, replace a string of batteries, or validate alarms after a maintenance window. Throughout the week, you’ll coordinate travel across the regional service territory, document results, and keep customers informed with clear, professional communication.
What you’ll take on
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot DC power systems across telecom, utility, and critical power environments
- Complete battery installations and replacements; perform DC power plant work
- Execute hot cuts and other live power activities with precision and safety
- Operate in central offices, substations, and data centers with varying site conditions
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and OEM documentation
- Conduct site surveys and quality checks to ensure workmanship and compliance
- Test alarms and validate end-to-end system functionality
- Develop or execute MOPs (Methods of Procedure) with project teams
- Travel regionally to support customer projects and service calls
- Maintain strong on-site professionalism and customer communication
Level IV leadership impact
- Lead crews as a working foreman, staying hands-on while guiding execution
- Coordinate jobsite workflow, resources, and safety practices
- Mentor junior technicians and set technical standards in the field
- Serve as the primary technical lead during installations and cutovers
CompensationLevel III
- $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
- Strong overtime opportunities
Level IV
- $34.00 - $40.00 per hour
- Long-term earning potential into the $40-$45/hr range with tenure and raises

- Per diem: $155/day for overnight travel outside 50 miles

Schedule & travel
- Must report to the Knoxville office every Monday morning at 8:00 AM
- Spend the rest of the week on customer service calls and project work
- Regional travel required; occasional overnight travel based on project location
- Open to overtime, emergency calls, and flexible scheduling when needed
What you bringLevel III
- 5+ years in DC power, electrical, telecom, or critical infrastructure work
- Hands-on experience with battery systems and DC power plants
- Ability to operate independently in the field
- Confidence reading schematics and wiring diagrams
- Strong troubleshooting ability
Level IV
- Advanced DC power background with crew leadership capability
- Proven success leading installations and field execution
- Polished, customer-facing communication skills
- Comfort serving as a working foreman while remaining hands-on
