Title: IT Desktop Support (Corporate Field Services Technician)

Location: Canton, NY 13617
Duration: 12-Month Contract (Possibility of extension based on business demand)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Interview Process: One Round Video Panel Interview


Job Summary

We are seeking an IT Desktop Support (Corporate Field Services Technician) to provide technical support for computer systems, hardware, software, and IT infrastructure at a manufacturing facility in Canton, NY.

The technician will support end users both onsite and remotely, troubleshoot technical issues, manage service requests, and ensure timely resolution while maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires participation in an on-call 24/7 support rotation.

Candidates should have experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments, desktop hardware, enterprise applications, and standard corporate IT infrastructure.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree or 3–5 years of IT experience
  • Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience (beyond imaging/deployment)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide desktop support for hardware, software, and infrastructure issues.
  • Respond to service requests and incidents both onsite and remotely.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Windows desktop issues.
  • Perform Active Directory administration.
  • Support Office 365, OneDrive, Microsoft applications, and browsers.
  • Troubleshoot Cisco VPN and Citrix connectivity.
  • Support mobile devices.
  • Configure and install Adobe products.
  • Install and troubleshoot printers and printer drivers.
  • Support conference room technology.
  • Utilize ServiceNow for ticket management.
  • Deploy and configure IP telephony equipment.
  • Manage hardware ordering and deployment.
  • Perform asset management activities.
  • Utilize Dameware for remote support.
  • Perform standard desktop imaging using USB/PXE servers.
  • Complete Smart Hands tasks as required.
  • Assist with documentation and knowledge base utilization.
  • Coordinate customer scheduling and follow-ups.
  • Perform equipment disconnect/reconnect during office moves.
  • Participate in project activities and multi-team collaboration.
