Overview:
We're seeking an experienced Enterprise / Semantic Architect to define, govern, and evolve enterprise architecture frameworks, semantic models, and ontology-driven solutions across complex business and technology environments.
This role will lead architecture initiatives focused on semantic interoperability, knowledge-driven systems, data virtualization, and enterprise integration. The ideal candidate has deep experience with semantic technologies, enterprise architecture, knowledge graphs, and standards-based data exchange models.
You'll work closely with business leaders, architects, engineers, and domain experts to establish scalable architecture strategies that improve data consistency, interoperability, and enterprise-wide alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and maintain enterprise and semantic architecture frameworks aligned with business objectives.
Design and govern semantic models, ontologies, taxonomies, and controlled vocabularies.
Enable semantic interoperability and data consistency across enterprise systems.
Establish architecture standards, governance processes, and best practices.
Collaborate with business, product, and engineering teams to develop scalable architecture solutions.
Review solution designs and ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards.
Support enterprise integration, API, and data architecture initiatives.
Drive adoption of standards-based architecture and reference models.
Lead architecture reviews, governance forums, and technical design discussions.
Support semantic data virtualization and knowledge graph initiatives.
Ensure alignment between business requirements and enterprise architecture strategies.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
9+ years of Enterprise Architecture and/or Semantic Architecture experience.
7+ years of Data Virtualization experience.
Strong experience designing semantic models, ontologies, taxonomies, and controlled vocabularies.
Experience implementing semantic data virtualization solutions, including R2RML mappings.
Knowledge graph architecture and integration experience.
Experience with semantic stores, reasoners, and semantic services.
Strong knowledge of SPARQL, GraphQL, APIs, and enterprise integration patterns.
Experience with metadata management, information architecture, and data modeling.
Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and governance.
Experience working across business and technical teams to drive architectural alignment.
Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience building enterprise knowledge graph platforms.
Experience integrating semantic technologies with analytics platforms.
Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
Knowledge of industry reference models and interoperability standards.
Experience working in highly regulated enterprise environments.
Agile project delivery experience.
Compensation & Benefits:
Pay Rate: $54/hour
