Teksys, Inc. is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Security Service Technician to join our team.

This is a hands-on technical position for someone who enjoys working with security technology, troubleshooting systems, and seeing a project come together in the field.
\n
What You’ll Work On\n
As a Security Service Technician, you’ll install, service, and troubleshoot commercial security and low-voltage systems, including:
\n
• IP and analog video surveillance systems
\n
• Access control systems
\n
• Card readers and door contacts
\n
• Magnetic locks and electrified strikes
\n
• Access control panels and power supplies
\n
• Intercom systems
\n
• Wired and wireless networked systems
\n
• Video recording and head-end equipment
\n
• CAT, coaxial, and other low-voltage cabling
\n
You’ll work in active commercial and construction environments, interact directly with customers and project managers, and help ensure installations are completed professionally and correctly.
\n
What We’re Looking For\n
Required:
\n
• 3+ years of security industry experience
\n
• Ability to install, service, and troubleshoot low-voltage security systems
\n
• Understanding of relays and normally open/normally closed circuits
\n
• Ability to read electrical schematics, PDF drawings, and related documentation
\n
• Ability to test voltage and continuity with a multimeter
\n
• General understanding of network topology
\n
• Strong mechanical and computer troubleshooting skills
\n
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
\n
Preferred:
\n
• 3+ years of construction experience
\n
• High school diploma or equivalent
\n
• Security and/or Alarm License
\n
Technology Experience\n
Experience with one or more of the following manufacturers and platforms is a plus:
