Summary

The Systems' Analyst primary functions will be focused on the Auditor's Enterprise systems but will also be a part of our cross-division Technology Development team which includes the maintenance, troubleshooting and security of the Technology Systems of the Clermont County Auditor’s office. These solutions involve the Clermont County Auditor’s office, Clermont County Departments/Agencies and Clermont County citizens and support many of the basic functions of County government

Work Characteristics and Job Description:

Undergraduate degree is preferred in a technical relevant field of work or commensurate industry experience is required.

Must have a general understanding of accounting and payroll processes and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems to help the County utilize the ERP system to be most effective and efficient.

Expert knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)

Advanced SQL skills including data extraction, aggregation, and query optimization

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; excellent communication and collaboration skills

Ability to translate business requirements into effective report designs

Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy

The individual must have good customer service skills to be able to work with individuals throughout the County.

Knowledge of Monitoring and implementing security measures

Review diagnostics and assess the functionality and efficiency of systems

Manages application and OS updates and assures application/OS/hardware compatibility.

Establishes and enforces procedures for data access security and access rights.

Ability to Create and maintain datasets and views for consumption in open data

Possesses General knowledge of desktop support and applications

Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, particularly Amazon Web Services.

Handle multiple priorities, timely response to requests, excellent follow through, and ability to track time and tasks

Job Duties include:

Administrator of ERP system including running utilities, reviewing and approving new users and roles, and to periodically check settings

Assists users with problems and password resets

Works with ERP vendor, hardware vendor and OS software vendor as needed

Works with the Deputy Auditors on developing systems and processes that encourage cross-functional cooperation and support initiative

Works with departments on utilizing the ERP system to be more effective and efficient.

Install and update software and hardware as needed

Creates reports as needed in Sequel Reporting Services

Manages the Records Retention Schedule within Content Management Systems

Creates datasets and views for consumption in open data

Monitor security certificates, security applications and compliance of requirements

Offer technical desktop support to staff and troubleshoot computer problems

Resolves hardware and software problems for users

Provides user support for all Auditor application programs.

The individual assists in all other duties as may be required or assigned. Requires knowledge of general office practices and procedures. Employee must exhibit evidence of the major worker characteristics noted above.
