Our client is looking for an experienced Epic Analyst who is passionate about optimizing clinical and business workflows, enhancing user experience, and supporting critical healthcare applications. What You’ll Do
- Configure, test, support, and optimize assigned Epic modules to meet operational and technical requirements.
- Partner closely with operational leaders, clinical teams, and IT to deliver effective, user-centered solutions.
- Perform workflow analysis, identify gaps, and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency and usability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve moderate application issues independently, escalating when appropriate.
- Manage medium‑complexity build requests, enhancements, and projects with minimal oversight.
- Participate in system upgrades, new feature evaluations, and version releases.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation following change control and governance standards.
- Provide ongoing education and guidance to end users and new team members on Epic functionality and best practices.
- Collaborate with vendors and technical teams to address system, performance, or integration issues.
- Represent user needs during design sessions, enhancement reviews, and cross-team initiatives.
- Contribute to strategic discussions by presenting solution options with pros/cons and making timely decisions.
What You Bring
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred (healthcare, business, information systems, or related field).
- 3+ years of experience, including 2+ years in healthcare, business systems, or IT.
- Strong knowledge of Epic workflows and a deep understanding of operational processes.
- Ability to develop new Epic functionality with minimal direction.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and multitasking skills.
- Highly effective communication, customer service, and user engagement abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience mentoring junior team members is a plus.
Certifications
- Epic certification or proficiency in assigned modules is required (must be obtained within 6 months if not already held).
- Certifications must be kept current through version updates and ongoing training.
Preferred Skills
- Strong understanding of Epic build concepts, design principles, and configuration standards.
- Experience working with clinical and business stakeholders to improve workflows.
- Ability to translate complex technical details into clear, user-friendly explanations.
- Skill in presenting data and workflows visually (charts, graphs, diagrams).
- Experience coordinating with external vendors and internal technical teams.
