An established and growing South Florida company is launching a new pest management division and is seeking an experienced Pest Control Qualifying Operator / License Holder to provide technical leadership and help build the operation from the ground up.
This is an opportunity for an experienced licensed professional who wants to play a key role in developing a new division within an established organization.
The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of Florida pest control regulations, hands-on industry experience, leadership ability, and an interest in helping build a high-quality pest management operation.
What You'll Do
Licensing & Compliance
- Serve as the company's designated Pest Control Qualifying Operator
- Maintain required Florida licenses and certifications
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Maintain required regulatory records and documentation
- Oversee proper pesticide storage, handling, application, and disposal
- Support regulatory inspections and audits
Operations
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for pest control services
- Provide technical oversight for pest management operations
- Establish service and quality standards
- Help select appropriate equipment, products, and treatment methods
- Conduct quality-control reviews and field inspections
- Ensure services are performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with industry standards
Training & Leadership
- Train and mentor pest control technicians
- Provide field coaching and technical guidance
- Conduct inspections and provide feedback
- Promote safe work practices and regulatory compliance
- Build a culture focused on professionalism, accountability, and customer service
Business Development
- Work with company leadership to launch and grow the pest control division
- Assist with customer consultations and estimating when needed
- Recommend new services, products, and operational improvements
- Help establish processes that support long-term growth
Required Qualifications
- Current Florida Certified Pest Control Operator License with the ability to serve as a Qualifying Operator
- Strong knowledge of Florida pest control laws, regulations, and industry practices
- At least 5 years of pest control industry experience
- Valid Florida driver's license and clean driving record
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the pest control operation
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous supervisory or management experience
- Experience training pest control technicians
- Experience developing SOPs and operational procedures
- Experience with residential pest management
- Experience serving high-end clientele
- Experience helping launch or grow a pest control operation
