Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented BIM Modeler to develop and coordinate Revit models for electrical infrastructure and process-piping systems. Electrical work will primarily support civil construction, including underground duct banks, conduit systems, manholes, handholes, equipment pads, and associated site infrastructure. Process-piping work will include pipe routing, fittings, valves, equipment connections, supports, and multidisciplinary coordination.
\n
\n
The ideal candidate has strong Revit modeling skills, understands construction practices, and can translate engineering documents, survey information, and field conditions into accurate, constructible models and installation drawings.
\n
\n
We’re looking for you to do the following:
\n
- \n
- Develop, maintain, and update electrical and process-piping models primarily in Autodesk Revit.
- Model underground electrical duct banks, conduits, sweeps, manholes, handholes, trenches, equipment pads, and related infrastructure.
- Model process-piping systems, including pipe routing, fittings, valves, equipment connections, and supports.
- Produce coordinated plans, profiles, sections, elevations, details, schedules, and installation drawings.
- Create and modify Revit families and model components as needed.
- Incorporate engineering drawings, specifications, survey data, civil surfaces, utility information, and field-verified conditions into project models.
- Coordinate electrical and piping systems with grading, drainage, utilities, structures, equipment, and other building or site systems.
- Use Navisworks to perform model review, clash detection, and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Prepare coordinated model information and layout points for use by field personnel.
- Assist with model-based quantity takeoffs, material planning, and prefabrication activities.
- Update models and drawings based on design revisions, RFIs, coordination decisions, field redlines, and as-built conditions.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, surveyors, field supervisors, and trade partners to resolve coordination issues.
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings and clearly communicate model-related questions and conflicts.
- Maintain project file organization, model accuracy, naming conventions, and company BIM standards.
