Looking for a Cost/Project Engineer to provide technical and financial support to the Project Manager.
JOB DUTIES:
- Providing accurate and timely cost/budget/forecast reporting
- Verifying changes are properly reflected in the cost forecast and assessing impact on contingency, escalation and cash flow
- Analyzing variance in cost and schedule and recommend corrective actions
- Monitor the status of the allocation and expenditure of project commitments
- Incorporating, analyzing, verifying the cost budget and forecast data through coordinating with different disciplines
- Recommending solutions and plans to address schedule and cost impacts
- Maintaining up-to-date data in cost management systems
- Familiar with construction projects phases and disciplines
- Ability to use analytical techniques to provide cost analysis and provide solutions
- Support the process of change orders and other circumstances by changing the scope of work and payment for changes
- Ability to participate in resolving difficult issues
- Support technical advisors for projects
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's in Engineering or Construction Management desired
- 3 plus years project controls experience
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience working in the construction industry
- Technically strong in project cost planning and reporting
- Proficiency in cost management systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Primavera Scheduling, Accubid, Spectrum programs or similar estimating software experience
- Proven experience understanding contracts and compliance
- Must possess a valid Class C California driver’s license
