Job DescriptionSupervisory Transportation Security Officer (STSO)

Rocky Mountain Protective Service Inc. is hiring experienced Supervisory Transportation Security Officers to oversee professional security screening operations and lead assigned security personnel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct assigned security screening personnel.

• Assign daily duties and maintain appropriate staffing coverage.

• Monitor employee performance and operational effectiveness.

• Ensure security procedures, policies, and post requirements are followed.

• Provide coaching, guidance, and corrective direction to assigned employees.

• Support training and development of security personnel.

• Monitor screening activity and help resolve operational issues.

• Respond to security concerns, incidents, and unusual situations.

• Coordinate with lead officers and management on staffing and operational needs.

• Review reports, logs, and required documentation for accuracy.

• Maintain professional customer service standards.

• Perform security screening duties when operationally required.

• Ensure assigned personnel maintain required certifications, training, and credentials.

• Support schedule changes, call-outs, and other staffing needs.

• Work early mornings, daytime, evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Requirements

• Previous security screening, aviation security, law enforcement, military, or similar security experience preferred.

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience required or strongly preferred.

• Ability to supervise employees in a fast-paced operational environment.

• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to make sound decisions during operational or security-related situations.

• Ability to enforce security procedures and company policies consistently.

• Must successfully complete required background screening and credentialing.

• Must successfully complete all required training and certifications.

• Must be able to stand and remain active for extended periods.

• Must be able to handle baggage and personal property when required.

• Must be dependable, professional, and comfortable working with the public.

• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
