Contract Analytical Scientist

Location: Watertown, MA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Duration: 6-Month Contract

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Analytical Scientist to join a pharmaceutical research team developing innovative extended-release ocular drug products. This is a hands-on laboratory role supporting analytical method development, testing, and data analysis in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support analytical method development and testing of drug products
• Analyze, interpret, and document laboratory data
• Operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot analytical instruments
• Participate in team meetings and provide project updates
• Perform laboratory work accurately and independently

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field
• 2-3 years of industrial laboratory experience (internships alone do not qualify)
• Experience with analytical instrumentation, including:
• • HPLC
  • UV
  • FTIR
  • Karl Fischer (KF)
  • XRD
  • DSC
  • TGA
• Pharmaceutical or drug formulation experience preferred
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Additional Information

• This position is fully onsite in Watertown, MA
• Summer schedule includes shortened Fridays through Labor Day, with hours made up Monday through Thursday
• Target start date: June 17
