Responsibilities
- Complete all or most types of maintenance and repair work orders efficiently and accurately
- Perform drywall repairs, painting, carpentry, and finish work
- Plumbing repairs
- Electrical repairs
- Install and repair doors, locks, hardware, appliances, and building components
- Complete unit turns and punch-list items
- Assist with emergency maintenance requests when needed
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance, construction, or handyman experience
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift 75 pounds and perform physical work throughout the day
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to use smartphones, apps, and work order management software
Communication Requirements
- Must speak, read, and write English fluently
- Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with clients, residents, and coworkers
- Must be capable of explaining repairs, providing updates, and documenting work performed
- Strong customer service skills are required
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
Preferred Qualifications
- Apartment maintenance experience
- Hotel maintenance experience
- HVAC troubleshooting experience
- EPA Certification
- Construction or remodeling experience
- Leadership or crew management experience
