Apartment Maintenance Technician
Minneapolis Saint Paul Metro Area
$28-$31/hr Depending on Experience

Career Strategies is hiring experienced Apartment Maintenance Technicians for multiple apartment communities throughout the Minneapolis Saint Paul Metro area. We are seeking motivated maintenance professionals who take pride in their work, enjoy solving problems, and want to grow within the property management industry.

This position is ideal for candidates with previous apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, hotel maintenance, or general repair experience. We are looking for individuals who understand the importance of resident satisfaction, work quality, and maintaining a clean and safe community.

As an Apartment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for completing work orders, preparing apartment homes for new residents, maintaining property grounds, and assisting with preventative maintenance programs. Candidates should be comfortable handling a variety of maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, drywall, painting, carpentry, and HVAC troubleshooting.

Daily Responsibilities:
• Complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner
• Perform apartment turns and make-ready repairs
• Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, appliance, and HVAC issues
• Repair drywall, flooring, doors, locks, cabinets, and fixtures
• Assist with preventative maintenance programs
• Maintain clean and organized maintenance shops and common areas
• Support property curb appeal and grounds maintenance
• Work alongside office staff to provide excellent resident service
• Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently
• Follow company policies and community standards

Qualifications:
• Previous apartment maintenance experience preferred
• General maintenance or handyman experience considered
• EPA Certification preferred
• Boilers License is a plus for higher-paying opportunities
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities
• Professional attitude and strong work ethic
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
• Ability to lift, carry, and move maintenance equipment as needed
