Job DescriptionProject Engineer (Construction / Mechanical)
Location: Southern California
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Project Engineer to support construction project execution by managing documentation, coordinating communication, and assisting Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage document control: track, organize, and distribute project documents
- Coordinate meetings and maintain accurate meeting minutes
- Collect and process submittals from vendors and subcontractors
- Assist with RFIs, proposals, budgets, and project schedules
- Communicate project updates to internal teams and clients
- Support project closeout documentation and deliverables
- Ensure all project information is accurate, organized, and up to date
- Promote clear communication and a collaborative project environment
Requirements
- Experience in construction project support or project engineering
- Strong document control experience required
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project/document management tools
- Familiarity with scheduling software (Microsoft Project preferred)
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Team-oriented with the ability to work cross-functionally
