Position Description: Position Summary:The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and systems. This role ensures that all facility maintenance and on-site machinery are functioning properly and safely. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of maintenance procedures and be able to work independently or as part of a team. This position reports to the Operations Manager.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:·\tPerform routine facility maintenance tasks, including inspecting, programming, and repairing machinery·\tConduct preventative maintenance to ensure the longevity and efficiency of equipment·\tRespond to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues promptly·\tMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs·\tEnsure compliance with safety regulations and standards·\tAssist in the installation and set-up of new equipment·\tMonitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools·\tCollaborate with other departments to address maintenance needs and improvements·\tPerform other related duties as assignedQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent3–5 years as a maintenance technician or in a similar roleTechnical certification in maintenance or related field (preferred)Technical proficiency in programmable logic controllers (PLC), general facility maintenance, and repair tasks; in-depth knowledge of electrical, pneumatics, and hydraulics of machines; understanding of machine learning and IoT for machines; experience implementing low-cost automation projects; ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints; strong problem-solving and attention to detail; ability to use various hand and power tools; strong communication and teamwork skills; willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.Physical Requirements:n\tLifting / Carrying — up to 50 lbs — Levantar / Cargar — hasta 50 lbsn\tStanding for extended periods — Permanecer de pie por períodos prolongadosSitting for extended periods — Permanecer sentado por períodos prolongadosn\tWalking, bending, stooping, reaching — Caminar, agacharse, inclinarse, alcanzarn\tClimbing ladders / scaffolding — Subir escaleras / andamiosn\tOperating machinery / equipment — Operar maquinaria / equipon\tExposure to noise, dust, fumes, or chemicals — Exposición a ruido, polvo, humos o químicosn\tUse of required PPE — Uso de EPP requeridoWork environment:Facility and production maintenance setting with frequent work around industrial machinery and equipment.
