Atlas Healthcare at Seashore Gardens is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Porter to join our team. As a Porter, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in commercial cleaning and facilities maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when supplies need to be replenished
- Assist with floor care duties, such as buffing and waxing floors.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and carpet cleaners
- Conduct industrial cleaning tasks as assigned
- Follow established safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial work preferred
- Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and waxing
- Assist with minor maintenance issues. For example calls light system and changing light bulbs.
- Assist nursing with new admission requests such as air mattresses, beds and televisions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects when necessary
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others
