Summary
Insight Global is seeking a Data Center Technician in the Des Moines, IA area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Remove network cables as part of a datacenter decommissioning process.
- Run, label, and stage power and networking cables.
- Follow procedures for preparing, installing, performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, replacing, and decommissioning equipment with guidance from Datacenter Technician Leads.
- Prepare, stage, set up, and perform basic startups and shutdowns for hardware following written instructions, checklists, guides, and standard procedures.
- Perform post-execution quality checks and verify that grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling are set up properly according to safety protocols, deployment standards, and planned Network Design Tasks (NDTs).
- Apply advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting expertise to quickly identify the cause(s) of issues.
- Follow procedures to communicate, report, and escalate incidents to appropriate data center operations management units and Technician Leads.
Compensation:
$23/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
