Manufacturing Technician – Job Summary
A Manufacturing Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure safe and efficient production. The role involves inspecting equipment for potential failures and safety concerns, operating maintenance tools and forklifts, completing work orders in a computerized maintenance system (CMMS), and supporting production by keeping equipment in optimal working condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
- Inspect machinery and plant utilities for equipment failures and safety hazards.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment to minimize downtime.
- Set up and tear down processing equipment before and after production.
- Operate maintenance tools, welding and gas cutting equipment, and forklifts (with company certification).
- Complete maintenance records, work orders, and preventive maintenance documentation using a CMMS.
- Maintain clean work areas in accordance with sanitation and safety standards.
- Work independently and collaboratively to meet production and quality goals.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of related maintenance or manufacturing experience.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Ability to use power tools, measuring instruments, and maintenance equipment.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and safety procedures.
- Ability to work the Wednesday–Sunday, 3:15 PM–12:00 AM shift.
