Maintenance Supervisor (Foreman), MRF/CompostAbout the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor (Foreman) to lead daily maintenance operations at our MRF and Compost facilities. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who knows how to keep equipment running safely and efficiently while guiding and developing a skilled maintenance team.
You’ll play a critical role in minimizing downtime, supporting plant operations, and ensuring all maintenance activities meet safety and operational standards.
What You’ll Do
Leadership & Supervision

Supervise and lead maintenance technicians, assigning daily work orders based on operational priorities.

Support onboarding, training, coaching, and performance evaluation of maintenance staff.

Communicate equipment issues, repair needs, and parts requirements to leadership.
Maintenance & Repairs

Perform and oversee routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Troubleshoot and repair equipment including conveyors, grinders, balers, compactors, and related machinery.

Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.

Support facility maintenance, including lighting, plumbing, and minor building repairs.
Preventive Maintenance & Reliability

Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed and completed on time.

Partner with operations teams to schedule repairs and minimize equipment downtime.

Respond to urgent repair needs and emergency maintenance situations as required.
Safety & Compliance

Enforce all safety policies and procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE compliance.

Participate in safety meetings, inspections, and incident investigations.

Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with safety standards.
Documentation & Inventory

Complete daily work orders and accurately document maintenance activities.

Maintain accurate maintenance records and repair documentation.

Identify parts and supply needs and assist with inventory control.
Workplace Organization

Maintain tools, parts, shop areas, and equipment in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
Other Duties
-
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Who You’ll Lead
- Maintenance Technicians across Post Collections sites.
What We’re Looking For
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Technical certification or Associate’s Degree in a related field preferred.
Experience
- 3+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial or facility environment
- 2+ year of supervisory or lead technician experience
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Proven leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
- Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and quality workmanship.
