Job Description

Job Description

Location: Dallas, TX (in person)
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: CEO

Position Overview

A fast-growing premium specialty coffee and hospitality brand is seeking an experienced commercial leader to accelerate growth across its e-commerce, wholesale, and interconnected physical retail operations.

This role requires an individual who understands how a business operates across multiple channels, combining physical customer experiences with consumer product sales, digital commerce, and wholesale distribution.

The ideal candidate brings experience from an established, multi-channel corporate environment and has demonstrated the ability to translate commercial strategy into measurable growth while working across operations, marketing, product, finance, and executive leadership.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this individual will work alongside existing department leaders to develop and execute an integrated commercial growth strategy. The position is intended to strengthen coordination, accountability, and execution across the business rather than duplicate existing functional leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Growth & Strategy

  • Own the commercial growth strategy for e-commerce and wholesale channels, with accountability for revenue, profitability, and channel performance.
  • Develop and execute a roadmap to scale the e-commerce business toward multi-fold annual revenue growth.
  • Identify new opportunities for wholesale distribution, customer acquisition, partnerships, and channel expansion.
  • Establish financial models, budgets, forecasts, and KPIs to measure growth and return on investment.
  • Own retail P&L management and growth across café locations, including in-café retail product sales, margins, and growth targets.

Omnichannel Business Integration

  • Connect the company's physical café presence, product portfolio, e-commerce business, and wholesale opportunities into a cohesive growth strategy.
  • Leverage physical locations as brand-building, customer acquisition, and product discovery channels.
  • Coordinate with operations to ensure that commercial growth is supported by production capacity, fulfillment, inventory, and customer service.
  • Improve consistency in customer experience and brand positioning across channels.
  • Provide commercial oversight at the café level, ensuring retail merchandising, product assortment, and in-café sales performance support overall growth.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with the CEO and existing leaders across operations, product development, coffee, marketing, and finance.
  • Lead cross-functional commercial initiatives with clear ownership, milestones, and measurable results.
  • Establish scalable processes, reporting, and accountability without creating unnecessary management layers.
  • Support and develop the e-commerce and commercial teams as the business expands.

E-Commerce & Wholesale Execution

  • Oversee e-commerce performance, including Shopify, conversion optimization, retention, subscriptions, customer lifetime value, and channel economics.
  • Develop strategies for wholesale account acquisition, distributor relationships, key accounts, and B2B revenue growth.
  • Partner with marketing and creative leadership on brand execution, customer acquisition, campaigns, and product launches.
  • Strengthen sales forecasting, demand planning, and commercial reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of relevant experience in commercial operations, e-commerce, omnichannel retail, consumer products, or business growth.
  • Experience in an established corporate organization operating multiple interconnected business channels.
  • Demonstrated understanding of both physical operations and product-based commercial models.
  • Proven experience managing commercial initiatives and delivering measurable revenue growth.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple departments and influencing senior leaders without necessarily having direct reporting authority.
  • Strong financial acumen, including P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, and revenue analysis.
  • Experience managing retail P&L and commercial performance across physical locations such as cafés, restaurants, or retail stores.
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms, wholesale distribution, or consumer product commercialization.
  • Ability to operate strategically while remaining directly involved in execution.

Preferred Background

  • Candidates may come from large consumer goods companies, food and beverage organizations, telecommunications companies, airlines, national retail brands, or other businesses where physical operations and product/service sales are tightly connected.
  • Experience in both a structured corporate organization and a smaller growth-stage business is especially valuable.

What Success Looks Like

  • First 90 days: Assess existing commercial channels, establish relationships with department leaders, identify operational dependencies, and develop a prioritized growth roadmap.
  • First 6 months: Improve e-commerce and wholesale performance, establish cross-functional operating rhythms, and begin implementing scalable commercial processes.
  • First 12 months: Deliver measurable channel growth, improve commercial profitability, and build a coordinated growth model capable of supporting continued expansion.
