- The candidate should be able to work across departments and have hands-on experience with information security tools, controls, or security-related initiatives.

- Process mapping: Document current security workflows and identify bottlenecks.
- Control automation: Use tools to automate tasks such as access reviews and alert handling.
- Policy tuning: Adjust data loss prevention (DLP) rules to reduce false positives.
- Risk reporting: Track security metrics and prepare management reports.
- Risk analysis: Identify weaknesses in data handling practices and employee behavior.
- Automation tools: Use programming languages such as Python or platforms such as Power Automate.
- Data visualization: Create Power BI or Tableau charts to highlight improvement opportunities.
- Communication: Explain complex security risks in clear business terms.
- Tools and frameworks
- Data protection: Microsoft Purview.
- Security frameworks: ISO 27001 and NIST.
