Maintenance Service Tech
Hartmann Realtors Inc. and Hartmann Rentals is currently seeking a Full Time Service Tech employee to join our team immediately. You will be responsible for completing work orders and other required tasks necessary to update and maintain residential units in the Metro- East area.
Possible Responsibilities:
- Responding, Troubleshooting and Repairing common residential tenant service calls.
- Completing all necessary tasks to turn vacant units to "Rent Ready" status
- Ability to do pre-occupancy inspection checklists and post-inspection punch-lists
- Maintain material and supply inventory
- Be available on rotation for "On Call" after hours maintenance requests
- Must be able to work unsupervised to complete tasks on time and on budget
- Perform tenant requested maintenance on homes and apartments
Expected Tasks:
- Basic electrical and plumbing repairs- outlets and fixtures
- Light carpentry - Install base trim, cabinets and doors
- Measure, order and install replacement doors/cabinets/windows
- Basic drywall and painting skills- patch/texture/paint
- Basic framing- deck repair/walls
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in property maintenance or other related building/construction fields
- High comfort level working on household plumbing and electrical systems
- Familiarity with basic maintenance tools and equipment
- Ability to handle physical workload and lift up to 50
- Able to climb and work on ladders if needed
- Available 8:30AM to 5:00PM M-F with some On Call rotation overtime
- Respectful of our residents needs
- Maintain positive attitude with residents and staff
- Have valid drivers license
- Have reliable transportation to get to work on time (vehicle provided/not take home)
- High school education or GED
Bonus Qualifications (not necessary for employment but will effect wages):
- Experience remodeling/rehabbing residential units
- Has supervising experience for construction crew
- Experience using small construction equipment/machines safely
- Experience pulling trailers safely
- Experience setting up and pouring concrete
- Any HVAC certifications
- Any Plumbing experience (with licensed plumbing company)
Full Time Employee Compensation & Benefits:
- Starting pay is $22/hr
- 50/50 medical (after 90 day probation)

All new hires will be required to successfully complete a criminal background check and a drug screening, prior to employment. The receipt of satisfactory responses to reference requests, and the provision of satisfactory proof of an applicant's identity and legal authority to work in the United States are also required. All new hires will be on a 60-day probationary period.
