As a Security Officer GED Required Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by following site-specific procedures, screening for unusual activity, and supporting security-related protocols at a government transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, waiting areas, entry points, dockside perimeters, and other assigned locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report concerns.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry when required, and document security-related incidents, observations, and/or daily activities according to site procedures.
- Support orderly operations during high-traffic periods, passenger boarding and disembarking activity, and weather-related or service-related disruptions while maintaining a professional presence.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
