Join our Facilities team and help get the Garden ready for GardenFest!

Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is seeking a Seasonal Maintenance Assistant to support our Facilities team from September through January. This hands-on position helps keep our 82-acre Garden safe, clean, welcoming, and ready for visitors during the busy GardenFest season.

What You'll Do

• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs.
• Assist with carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and general building upkeep.
• Set up, move, and break down equipment and materials for events.
• Assist with grounds and seasonal maintenance.
• Inspect facilities and report repair or safety concerns.
• Safely operate hand and power tools.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas.
• Support Facilities staff and contractors with projects as needed.

What We're Looking For

• Previous maintenance, construction, landscaping, or related experience is helpful, but not required.
• Basic mechanical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Dependable, safety-minded, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

The Details

This is an active position requiring work indoors and outdoors throughout the Garden. Must be able to walk, bend, kneel, climb, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required during Garden events.
