We're hiring a Software Engineering Manager for a growing product-development organization in Duluth, GA. This is a hybrid role: 4 days on-site, Fridays remote, with up to 20% travel.
About the role
You'll lead a team of software and controls engineers building embedded firmware and cloud-connected products. You'll own technical direction, delivery, and team development. Responsibilities include planning and estimating budgets and schedules, managing priorities across projects, writing performance reviews, coaching engineers, and partnering with product, hardware, and quality teams to bring products to market.
What we're looking for
- 6–10 years of software development and management experience in a product development environment
- 5+ years of engineering management experience, including performance reviews and team development
- Strong background in firmware/embedded systems and/or AWS cloud
- Experience estimating budgets and schedules for engineering programs
- HVAC or building systems industry experience is strongly preferred
- A seasoned people leader who can guide technical decisions, not a hands-on-only individual contributor
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field
