Maintenance Technician
Houston, TX | On-Site
Keep the hotel running smoothly and create an exceptional guest experience.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with experience in hotel, commercial, or facility maintenance who enjoys troubleshooting problems, completing repairs, and maintaining building systems. The Maintenance Technician will play a key role in ensuring the property remains safe, functional, and well-maintained for both guests and staff.
What You'll Do
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance
- Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC systems
- Repair and maintain plumbing systems
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues
- Respond to guest and staff maintenance requests
- Complete general repairs, painting, carpentry, and fixture replacements
- Maintain repair, inspection, and inventory records
- Assist with room turnovers, furniture moves, and minor renovation projects
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors when specialized repairs are needed
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and hotel procedures
What We're Looking For
- Experience in hotel, hospitality, commercial, or facility maintenance
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize urgent requests
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working weekends, holidays, evenings, and on-call shifts when needed
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and operate maintenance tools and equipment
Preferred Qualifications
- Hotel or hospitality maintenance experience
- HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or building maintenance certifications
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and work order systems
- Basic carpentry, painting, and drywall repair skills
- Bilingual communication skills are a plus
