Seeking an expert IBM MQ Administrator to join our MQ team and be responsible for managing and maintaining our IBM MQ infrastructure.
\n
- The IBM MQ Administrator will work closely with development teams to ensure the availability and reliability of our messaging infrastructure to support our applications and services
\n
- Install, configure, and maintain IBM MQ servers and associated infrastructure
\n
- Monitor the performance of the IBM MQ servers and associated infrastructure, troubleshoot any issues, and take corrective action to resolve problems
\n
- Implement high availability and Disaster Recovery solutions
\n
- Manage access controls, security configurations, and authentication protocols for IBM MQ servers
\n
- Configure and manage IBM MQ objects.
\n
- Deep understanding of IBM MQ cluster design, operation and maintenance
\n
- Document IBM MQ infrastructure configurations and procedures
\n
- Join the teams on-call support rotation.
\n
- Must have a pro-active, can-do mindset.
\n
\n
Basic Qualifications:
\n
\n
At least 6 years experience with IBM MQSeries, including MQ clustering.
\n
At least 6 years experience using Linux.
\n
At least 2 years experience with cloud platforms, ideally AWS.
\n
\n
Preferred Qualifications:
\n
\n
At least 2 years experience with deployment tooling (devops tooling, Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory, CICD).
\n
At least 2 years experience with scripting.
\n
Experience with Kubernetes, containers.
\n
Experience with monitoring tools such as Infrared360, NewRelic, Splunk.
\n
• Experience with AI tooling.
