Job Description

Overview:

\n

The Omniva Control Plane organization builds the tools and infrastructure that carry a customer through their entire lifecycle on our platform: acquisition and capacity request (Day 0), infrastructure provisioning (Day 1), and ongoing observability and storage management (Day 2).

\n

As a Software Engineer on the Day 2 team, you and the team will own and operate our entire Observability stack, from design to deployment to ongoing maintenance and feature updates, both for our internal infrastructure as well as for our Customers. You will write the code that collects Telemetry from a wide range of hardware and software components and then build intelligent systems to determine fleet health, both at a macroscopic and detailed level.

\n

Responsibilities:

\n

    \n
  • Design, build and operate an Observability platform that serves internal company telemetry as well as our external Customers.
  • \n

  • Design, build and operate a Fleet Health system that automates the detection of unhealthy and underperforming hardware.
  • \n

  • Design, build, and operate Kubernetes-based infrastructure across on-premises environments and AWS, ensuring services meet the performance and availability demands of AI workloads.
  • \n

  • Define and enforce platform engineering standards across Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD pipelines, deployment patterns, and operational practices.
  • \n

  • Leverage AI-assisted development tooling, including Claude Code, to accelerate platform delivery; apply agentic development practices where they improve engineering efficiency.
  • \n

  • Own the customer relationship for our products and services by engaging directly with internal teams and external customers to gather requirements, communicate roadmaps, and resolve escalations.
  • \n

  • Contribute and maintain comprehensive documentation covering architecture, APIs, runbooks, and capacity planning processes.
  • \n

\n

\n

Qualifications:

\n

    \n
  • Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer in a cloud-native environment.
  • \n

  • Strong proficiency in Java and Go. Experience with Python and SQL is a plus.
  • \n

  • Extensive experience using and maintaining a Kubernetes environment as a deployment platform for containerized applications.
  • \n

  • Hands-on experience with AWS or other cloud provider.
  • \n

  • Strong proficiency with observability tooling such as Grafana and OpenTelemetry.
  • \n

  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code such as Terraform and modern CI/CD practices.
  • \n

  • Experience with Claude Code or equivalent AI-assisted development tooling; hands-on agentic development experience is a significant advantage.
  • \n

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate effectively across engineering, product, and customer-facing contexts.
  • \n
