Wire Rope AssemblerPosition Summary\n

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Wire Rope Assembler to join our PA Service Center. The Wire Rope Assembler is responsible for assembling, cutting, splicing, swaging, and finishing wire rope and cable products according to customer specifications, engineering drawings, and established quality and safety standards.

\n

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, comfortable using hand and power tools, and able to work safely and efficiently in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities\n

    \n
  • Assemble wire rope, cable, slings, and related hardware according to work orders and specifications.
  • \n

  • Measure, cut, form, splice, swage, and terminate wire rope and cable products.
  • \n

  • Install fittings, sockets, thimbles, hooks, clips, sleeves, and other components.
  • \n

  • Operate crimping, swaging, cutting, and other wire rope assembly equipment.
  • \n

  • Read and interpret work orders, drawings, measurements, and assembly instructions.
  • \n

  • Inspect finished products for proper dimensions, assembly, workmanship, and quality.
  • \n

  • Use measuring equipment such as tape measures, calipers, and other precision tools.
  • \n

  • Identify defective materials or assemblies and communicate issues to supervisors or quality personnel.
  • \n

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • \n

  • Follow all company safety procedures, including proper PPE requirements.
  • \n

  • Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
  • \n

  • Package and label completed products for shipment when required.
  • \n

  • Perform other manufacturing and assembly duties as assigned.
  • \n

Qualifications\n

    \n
  • Previous manufacturing, mechanical assembly, rigging, cable, or wire rope experience preferred.
  • \n

  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with hand and power tools.
  • \n

  • Ability to read measurements and follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
  • \n

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • \n

  • Ability to lift, handle, and maneuver wire rope and materials safely.
  • \n

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • \n

  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
  • \n

  • Willingness to learn company-specific assembly procedures and equipment.
  • \n

  • Must live near Perryopolis, PA
  • \n

  • Must be 18 years old
  • \n

Preferred Experience\n

    \n
  • Experience with wire rope, rigging hardware, cable assemblies, or industrial lifting products.
  • \n

  • Experience operating hydraulic or mechanical swaging equipment.
  • \n

  • Familiarity with OSHA and general industrial safety practices.
  • \n

  • Experience reading technical drawings or work instructions.
  • \n

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • \n

  • Ability to stand and work for extended periods.
  • \n

  • Ability to frequently use hands and arms for cutting, assembling, crimping, and handling materials.
  • \n

  • Ability to lift and move materials as required by the position.
  • \n

  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
  • \n

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions while maintaining accuracy and quality.
  • \n

Work Environment\n

This position works primarily in a manufacturing/industrial environment and may involve exposure to machinery, metal products, noise, and industrial materials. Follow proper safety equipment and procedures at all times.

Schedule: Monday–Friday / Weekends when needed
