Senior Architect (Architecture & Facilities Engineering)
Location: onsite in Anaheim, CA
Contract: W2 only, 12 month contract with potential for extension or conversion to full time
Pay: $80/hour + optional medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match
Overview
As the Senior Architect, you will support the development and sustainment of assets and projects. Your role will involve providing technical expertise, problem-solving, and quality assurance for a wide range of projects, from shops and attractions to hotels and maintenance facilities.
Candidates must have an Active Architectural License in the State of California
Key Responsibilities
- Produce facility feasibility assessments for proposed projects on a variety of building types and occupancies
- Review construction drawings for completeness and constructability (QAQC)
- Act as an Architectural Owner’s Representative for projects from concept through construction
- Manage the design and development of project construction drawings and specifications with internal and external resources
- Lead design reviews and ensure compliance with standards, codes, and regulations
- Ensure that the overall project design intent is achieved by successfully integrating facility design with partner design disciplines and components of the supporting development such as: infrastructure, area development, grading/drainage, area lighting, graphics, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering, showset, ride engineering, etc.
- Coordinate with various engineering disciplines and internal project teams
- Liaison with city officials and external agencies to ensure project compliance with external requirements
- Mentor architects and facility designers on career development and technical efforts
Required Skills
- Direct experience in the preparation of architectural contract drawings and specifications in a wide range of project types and construction practices
- Direct Construction Administration experience including site observation visits and review of RFIs and Submittals
- Familiarity with all phases of design and construction
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and time management skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Extensive knowledge of the California Building Code, health codes, CalOSHA, and the ADA
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects under tight deadlines
Required Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an NAAB accredited school
- Minimum of 13 years of professional experience in Architecture
- Architectural License in the State of California
