Senior Architect (Architecture & Facilities Engineering)


Location: onsite in Anaheim, CA

Contract: W2 only, 12 month contract with potential for extension or conversion to full time

Pay: $80/hour + optional medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match


Overview

As the Senior Architect, you will support the development and sustainment of assets and projects. Your role will involve providing technical expertise, problem-solving, and quality assurance for a wide range of projects, from shops and attractions to hotels and maintenance facilities.


Candidates must have an Active Architectural License in the State of California


Key Responsibilities

  • Produce facility feasibility assessments for proposed projects on a variety of building types and occupancies
  • Review construction drawings for completeness and constructability (QAQC)
  • Act as an Architectural Owner’s Representative for projects from concept through construction
  • Manage the design and development of project construction drawings and specifications with internal and external resources
  • Lead design reviews and ensure compliance with standards, codes, and regulations
  • Ensure that the overall project design intent is achieved by successfully integrating facility design with partner design disciplines and components of the supporting development such as: infrastructure, area development, grading/drainage, area lighting, graphics, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering, showset, ride engineering, etc.
  • Coordinate with various engineering disciplines and internal project teams
  • Liaison with city officials and external agencies to ensure project compliance with external requirements
  • Mentor architects and facility designers on career development and technical efforts


Required Skills

  • Direct experience in the preparation of architectural contract drawings and specifications in a wide range of project types and construction practices
  • Direct Construction Administration experience including site observation visits and review of RFIs and Submittals
  • Familiarity with all phases of design and construction
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and time management skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Extensive knowledge of the California Building Code, health codes, CalOSHA, and the ADA
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects under tight deadlines


Required Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an NAAB accredited school
  • Minimum of 13 years of professional experience in Architecture
  • Architectural License in the State of California
