Aerotek is hiring Conveyor Maintenance Technicians for a distribution company located in Memphis, TN (38118). Candidates must be open on shift (10 hour shift, 1st/3rd). To be considered, you must have 2 years of experience in an industrial maintenance position.
Pay Rate: $29/hr
As a Maintenance Technician II you will use your skills to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will have the opportunity to install maintain and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.
The Conveyor Technicians will be responsible for the following:
• Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment (Ex: conveyors)
• Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures
• Perform battery changes, and preventive maintenance on batteries
• Enter downtime data in daily log, complete PM sheets
• Managing work orders within a CMMS
• Electrical, knowledge of basics components
• Troubleshoot and identify problems with equipment
• Track and store the departments inventory, including spare parts
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Technicians MUST HAVE at least 2+ years of experience conducting quality predictive & preventative maintenance procedures.
• 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment (MHE) or automated conveyor systems and controls
• 2+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading
• 2+ year knowledge with electrical and electronic principles
• 2+ year experience of following and demonstrating safety standards
• 1+ year experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE systems
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Industries & Equipment: Candidate from Distribution, Logistics, Manufacturing, Industrial industries performing maintenance on complex systems and industrial equipment (running diagnostics, inspections, troubleshooting, repairing, creating work orders), specifically experience with conveyors and other material handling equipment (MHE) – Including Controls & Robotics
Preferred Qualifications
• Able to troubleshoot basic input and output function of building operations
• Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Continuous improvement mindset
• Willingness to learn and grow within maintenance team
• Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and
Safety standards
• Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field
• 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field
• 2+ of experience working with PLC based controls systems
• Experience with robotic operation and maintenance
