Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with strong Microsoft, networking, security, and project implementation experience. This is a senior-level, client-facing role responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting technology solutions for small and mid-sized businesses throughout the Bay Area.
The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with excellent communication skills and the ability to lead projects, mentor engineers, and act as a trusted advisor to clients.
This position requires regular travel to client sites throughout the Bay Area, with a combination of onsite, remote, and office-based work.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute complex infrastructure, cloud, security, and modernization projects.
- Design, deploy, and support Microsoft 365 environments.
- Administer Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, and OneDrive.
- Implement and maintain Conditional Access, MFA, Microsoft Defender, and endpoint security solutions.
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Meraki firewalls, switches, wireless networks, VPNs, and SD-WAN solutions.
- Serve as a senior escalation resource for server, workstation, networking, cloud, and security issues.
- Assist clients with technology roadmaps, budgeting, and strategic IT planning.
- Evaluate, deploy, and support AI-powered business solutions including Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, AI-enhanced security tools, and workflow automation technologies.
- Help clients identify practical applications for AI to improve productivity, reporting, collaboration, customer service, and operational efficiency.
- Develop automation and workflow solutions using PowerShell, Power Automate, and AI-driven technologies.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and statements of work.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership across the organization.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
