SG is seeking a Facilities Maintenance - I (Assistant) for our client in Wilson NC.
Are you passionate about maintaining safe, efficient, and compliant industrial facilities? We’re looking for a dedicated Maintenance - I (Assistant) to support our facilities operations and help us uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and reliability. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of repairs and maintenance activities, ensuring our site runs smoothly and efficiently every day.
What you'll do:
- Perform hands-on facilities maintenance and repairs across the site
- Coordinate and monitor work performed by external contractors, ensuring timely and quality completion
- Support audit readiness efforts, including preparation, on-site support, and post-audit responses
- Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize facility deviations
- Oversee vendor services such as pest control, elevator repairs, and motorized door maintenance
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and project support, including impact assessments and contractor training
Required Skills:
- Minimum 1 year of facilities maintenance experience in an industrial or facility environment
- Knowledge of facility systems and pharmaceutical preventive maintenance principles
- Experience working within a regulated, audit-intensive setting
- Proven ability to coordinate contractors efficiently
- Strong organizational skills with multitasking capabilities
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or manufacturing industries
- Familiarity with CMMS systems like SAP or Hexagon
- Support experience in pest control, elevator, or motorized door programs
- Background in audit preparation and response
- Operating industrial lifts or fork trucks proficiency
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Relevant technical or vocational training in facilities maintenance
- Prior experience supporting regulated industry standards and compliance protocols
