Job Description Your Mission

Keep every asset running safely, smoothly, and predictably. If a conveyor stalls, a pump vibrates, or a gearbox overheats, you’re already three steps ahead. You prevent problems before they start—and fix them fast when they do.

Impact You’ll Have

  • Reduce downtime across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC systems.
  • Elevate equipment reliability through disciplined PMs and data-driven decisions.
  • Improve operator experience by partnering on safety, usability, and performance.

Core Responsibilities

  • Walk the production process daily; consult with operators to understand equipment status and safety device performance.
  • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance on production machinery per plan.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faults in motors, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and HVAC units.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to guide work.
  • Partner with production to maintain steady output and quick changeovers.
  • Record all work, parts usage, and findings in Limble CMMS with complete accuracy.
  • Install and commission new equipment; assist with upgrades and modifications.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement actions.
  • Provide off-hours emergency support when required.

Safety, Attitude, and Recordkeeping

  • Model safe behaviors; follow OSHA and company standards; wear appropriate PPE.
  • Apply CSE and LOTO best practices; ensure monthly/quarterly/annual EH&S compliance tasks are completed.
  • Bring a positive, solutions-first mindset; contribute to plant improvement initiatives.
  • Update drawings/sketches/blueprints; help design equipment changes.
  • Maintain accurate environmental and equipment records.

Tools & Tech You’ll Use

  • Hand and power tools; precision measuring and diagnostic equipment.
  • PLC interfaces/controls exposure (troubleshooting familiarity is a plus).
  • Limble CMMS for work orders, PMs, and inventory tracking.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of industrial safety programs and practices.
  • 2+ years in industrial or manufacturing maintenance preferred.
  • Motivation to advance skills in mechanical/electrical systems, troubleshooting, and project coordination.
  • Ability to read and apply technical drawings and schematics.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding is advantageous.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and independent work capability.

Work Conditions

  • Comfort working at heights up to 50 ft (scissor/boom lifts) and within confined spaces.
  • Ability to work in outdoor weather extremes when required (heat, cold, rain, snow).

Physical & Cognitive Demands

  • Medically qualified to wear a respirator.
  • Perform tasks including sitting, carrying, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and climbing ladders of various heights.
  • Lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally; frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Understand instructions and underlying principles; execute quick, accurate arithmetic; maintain strong hand–eye coordination.
  • Accept responsibility; perform under stress; work with precision; adapt to changing duties and priorities.
  • Interpret information, influence others, generalize, evaluate, decide, and perform repetitive tasks as needed.

Other Information

  • No supervisory responsibilities.
  • No travel required.
