Building Maintenance Technician
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable Building Maintenance Technician to perform general building repairs, routine maintenance, and facility upkeep. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with basic electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance tasks, along with a strong commitment to safety and maintaining a clean, functional work environment.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general building repairs and routine maintenance.
- Troubleshoot basic electrical and plumbing issues.
- Repair doors, fixtures, walls, and other building components.
- Conduct routine facility inspections and identify maintenance needs.
- Perform minor painting, patching, and other repair work.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe facility areas.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and properly.
- Report major repairs, equipment issues, and safety concerns.
- Assist with preventive maintenance and facility improvement projects.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance guidelines.
Requirements
- Previous experience in building maintenance, facility maintenance, or a similar role.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general repair work.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and complete repairs.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily maintenance tasks.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as needed.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Commitment to workplace safety and maintaining an organized facility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in commercial, industrial, or warehouse facility maintenance.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems.
- Experience with painting, drywall repairs, and general facility upkeep.
