Job Description

We're hiring a Systems Integration & Test Engineer (Vehicle Integration / Platform Bring-up) for a fast-growing autonomous vehicle and Physical AI company in San Francisco that deploys real autonomous systems in live production environments.

You'll bring up new autonomous vehicle platforms, taking them from the first bench setup to a fleet that works. This is a hands-on role for an engineer who likes working in the garage and has debugged lidar, radar, cameras and vehicle compute on real AV hardware. You'll make the first build of each new platform work, then make every build after it faster, more repeatable and easy to hand off to technicians and manufacturing.

What you'll do

  • Bring up new vehicle platforms in the garage, doing hands-on hardware and software integration, including flashing and upgrading ECUs and modules
  • Debug hard system-level problems across lidar, radar, cameras, compute, networks, harnesses and power during multi-week bring-up cycles
  • Write scripts, SOPs and build instructions so technicians and manufacturing teams can repeat each bring-up, and own them over time
  • Speed up the bring-up process (e.g., cutting a 2-hour first-time script down to minutes) through hardware, software and process improvements
  • Build physical bench setups to test changes safely, then decide how to roll those changes out to vehicles at scale

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years in vehicle integration or systems integration, ideally on an autonomous vehicle or ADAS team
  • Hands-on debugging of lidar, radar, cameras and vehicle compute on real hardware
  • ECU firmware flashing; CAN, CAN FD and Automotive Ethernet
  • Tools such as CANalyzer/CANoe, CANape, Vehicle Spy and oscilloscopes
  • Scripting in Python on Linux

Nice to have

  • GNSS/IMU and sensor calibration
  • Wire harness integration, HIL experience
  • C++, MATLAB/Simulink, signal processing
