For over 37 years, Jade Communications has delivered meticulous, code-compliant low‑voltage installations across Florida’s Treasure Coast. We’re growing our field team to support commercial projects throughout Saint Lucie and Martin Counties and are looking for seasoned professionals who take pride in their craft.

Your day, at a glance

Morning kicks off with a review of construction drawings and a quick sync with the project manager. By mid‑day you’re pulling and labeling Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A, routing through J‑hooks and ladder rack, or fusion splicing fiber and validating links with Fluke DSX‑8600 and OTDR readings. You’ll wrap the day documenting results, tidying the site, and coordinating next steps with customers and other trades.

What you’ll tackle

• Install, terminate, label, and test Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A structured cabling.
• Install and terminate fiber optics, perform fusion splicing, and complete required testing.
• Build pathways and support: cable tray, ladder rack, sleeves, backboards, and J‑hooks.
• Execute firestopping to meet applicable codes.
• Install and splice high‑pair copper backbone cable.
• Certify structured cabling with Fluke DSX‑8600 testers and validate fiber with OTDR equipment.
• Interpret construction drawings/specifications and conduct site surveys to map pathways.
• Maintain accurate as‑builts, labeling, and test documentation.
• Keep a clean, safe, well‑organized job site and communicate professionally with PMs, clients, and other trades.

What you bring

• At least 3 years of commercial low‑voltage installation experience.
• Hands‑on background with structured cabling and fiber systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction documents.
• Knowledge of TIA/EIA standards and industry best practices.
• Proficiency with Fluke certification tools.
• BICSI or manufacturer certifications are a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs and working from ladders and lifts.
