GROUNDSKEEPER / PORTER – APARTMENT COMMUNITY
LOCATION: Celina, TX | Onsite
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• Pay: $19.00 per hour
• Part-time hours only

ROLE IMPACT
Help maintain a clean, attractive, and welcoming luxury apartment community. As a Groundskeeper / Porter, you will perform daily groundskeeping, janitorial cleaning, and property upkeep to keep buildings, elevators, outdoor areas, and resident amenities clean and safe. Your work will support resident satisfaction and maintain high property appearance standards.
KEY DUTIES
• Grounds & Exterior Cleaning: Walk the property daily to remove trash, litter, pet waste, and debris. Clean sidewalks, parking areas, garages, breezeways, dumpster areas, dog parks, pet stations, and building entrances.
• Interior & Elevator Cleaning: Sweep, mop, dust, and sanitize hallways, stairwells, elevators, and common areas. Clean elevator floors, walls, doors, buttons, mirrors, handrails, windowsills, baseboards, glass, and high-touch surfaces. Remove cobwebs, fingerprints, and visible dirt.
• Community Amenities: Maintain cleanliness throughout the clubhouse, resident lounge, fitness center, walkways, and shared spaces to luxury apartment community standards.
• Daily Property Upkeep: Follow assigned cleaning schedules, properly use and store janitorial supplies, and identify areas requiring additional cleaning or attention.
• Safety & Reporting: Report property damage, elevator concerns, maintenance issues, and safety hazards to management. Follow established cleaning and workplace safety procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Ability to perform groundskeeping, porter services, janitorial cleaning, trash removal, and general property upkeep while maintaining consistent cleanliness standards.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work independently, follow cleaning schedules, and recognize areas needing attention.
• Ability to perform daily property walks, sweeping, mopping, bending, reaching, and other physical cleaning activities while safely handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
EQUIPMENT & WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Work indoors and outdoors throughout a residential apartment community, including hallways, elevators, parking areas, garages, and landscaped grounds.
• Regular walking, sweeping, mopping, bending, reaching, and collecting trash and debris.
• Use mops, brooms, cleaning chemicals, trash receptacles, and standard janitorial supplies and equipment.
• Follow established safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and maintaining shared resident spaces.
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Previous experience in apartment groundskeeping, porter services, property maintenance, housekeeping, or janitorial cleaning.
• Experience maintaining multifamily residential properties, luxury apartment communities, or high-traffic common areas.
• Strong organizational skills, initiative, and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
