As a Senior Software Engineer, you will enforce best coding practices and advocate for continuous improvement. You will be responsible for developing tools and templates to enhance processes and scale the platform to handle significant increases in load while maintaining optimal uptime.
Responsibilities
- Enforce best coding practices and advocate for continuous improvement.
- Develop tools and templates for process improvements.
- Scale the platform to handle 1,000 times the current load while maintaining 100% uptime.
- Contribute expertise in microservices, API development, and front-end development with a focus on JavaScript or Golang.
Essential Skills
- At least 7 years of full software development lifecycle (SDLC) experience.
- Mastery of SDLC, SOLID principles, TDD/BDD, and clean code/architecture.
- 5-8+ years of experience with modern technologies like GoLang, GraphQL, gRPC, JavaScript, microservices, and NoSQL.
- 5-8+ years of applying cloud development patterns and best practices.
- 5+ years of proficiency in cloud-based architecture and automated release pipelines.
- 5-8+ years of API-first approach expertise with loosely coupled systems and domain-driven design.
- Must have at least 5 years of full-stack development experience, with a stronger focus on front-end development.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in managing and planning technical debt.
- Strong focus on quality code and various testing approaches.
- Golang experience is a plus, but Java proficiency is required if not.
- Experience with JavaScript is beneficial, but Golang proficiency is required if not.
- Expertise in microservices and API development is essential (rated 10/10).
Work Environment
This role requires working in the office 4 days a week, with 1 day of flexible work-from-home. While there is no current flexibility on the office days, employees can choose their work-from-home day. Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Scottsdale, AZ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $155000.00 - $165000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
I will be getting those on my next Meeting on September 10th.
