Greatlink builds custom cable assemblies and wire harnesses for customers who need them done right the first time. As our Quality Test Technician, you are the final check before product ships. You will test, troubleshoot and approve assemblies, and you will work closely with our assembly team to fix problems at the source. If you like figuring out why something failed and enjoy hands-on work with test equipment, this role is for you.

What you will do in this role:

• Perform electrical and mechanical testing of cable assemblies and wire harnesses to customer drawings, specifications and Greatlink test procedures.
• Set up and operate test equipment, including multimeters, continuity testers, hipot testers, pull testers, automated test systems and network analyzers.
• Troubleshoot test failures and find the root cause on assemblies and sub-assemblies.
• Inspect and measure incoming materials and finished products, and approve product that meets requirements.
• Record test data, maintain test logs and write inspection reports.
• Document nonconformances, coordinate rework with the assembly team and verify corrective actions.
• Build and maintain test fixtures and equipment.
• Recommend process improvements that raise quality and efficiency.
• Keep the work area clean, safe and organized, and follow all safety and ESD procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Nice to Have:

• Working knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 or J-STD-001 standards.
• Experience with network analyzers or RF/coaxial cable testing.
• Experience building test fixtures.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in cable assembly, wire harness, electrical or electronics manufacturing, including testing.
• Ability to read wiring schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and BOMs and understand how they are used.
• Hands-on experience with test equipment (multimeters, hi-pot testers, continuity testers, automated test systems), soldering stations and assembly hand tools.
• Clear communication in person and in writing. You can explain what the problem was, which tools you used and how you solved it.
• Coachable and comfortable speaking up and asking questions
• Basic computer skills in Excel, Word and Outlook.
