The main duties and responsibilities of a Maintenance Assistant include:
<ul>
<li>Assist in the inspection of buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions</li>
<li>Troubleshoot and repair issues with HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems</li>
<li>Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, etc</li>
<li>Assist with the setup and breakdown of events, including moving and arranging furniture</li>
<li>Conduct minor building, HVAC, plumbing and electrical repairs</li>
<li>Assist with the daily cleaning of the facilities, including sweeping, mopping and trash removal</li>
<li>Help with landscape maintenance, including mowing grass, trimming hedges and shoveling snow</li>
<li>Follow all health and safety regulations and practices on every job</li>
<li>Maintain inventory of repair supplies and materials</li>
<li>Communicate with supervisors about unsafe conditions, damaged equipment or supplies needed</li>
