General Maintenance Technician _
$20hr.
Temp to Perm
Qualifications:
- Qualified applicant must be a US Citizen, possess a valid driver’s license and have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in facilities maintenance and dealing with a wide range of general type services.
- Must possess a professional appearance, excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Education: HS Diploma
- Business Experience: 3 – 5 years of experience related facility maintenance.
- Pass background & drug screening.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of an organization.
Technical Qualifications & Skills:
- Ability to perform various general type maintenance tasks.
- Ability to use a smart device such as a phone or tablet.
- Ability to draft routine reports, timesheets, and correspondence utilizing basic computer skills and ability to communicate via email and internet use.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Must have the ability to repair Walls, Floors, Doors, and any painting and touch up work for beautification of facility.
Responsibilities:
- The Technician will report daily to the site supervisor and support the site supervisor to provide quality workmanship and high work standards to maintain a professional working environment.
- The primary responsibilities of this position are to be responsible for the general facility maintenance needs at the facility and performing general maintenance of equipment as required.
- Knowledge of and capable of performing carpentry/repairs and various general tasks assigned.
- Communicates effectively with the Site Supervisor & Site Manager to determine service needs.
- Repairs of Walls, Floors, Doors, and any painting and touch up work for beautification of facility.
- Repair and unclog Toilets, Urinals, replace and maintain Valve Assemblies and repair/maintain Sensors for Automatic Flush Kits, as well as all other plumbing related to the Facility.
- Responsible for maintenance and repair of air handling equipment at this facility such as vent fans and circulation fans.
- Maintain a strict PM schedule.
- Maintain gates & fences, exterior and interior building inspections, parking lot & landscape inspections.
- Performs a wide variety of corrective maintenance work requests.
- Assist other skilled employees to perform projects as requested.
- Must be able to change filters and clean coils as needed.
- Organization skills to maintain the client facility maintenance records and reports.
