Janitorial Cleaning Specialist [GOVERNMENT FACILITY]

Reports To: Manager
Basic Function: To perform a variety of maintenance and cleaning tasks to keep the facilities looking perfect and to exceed the expectations of our customers.
Key Responsibilities and duties:
- Sweep and mop floors
- Vacuum all carpeting [if applicable]
- Gather and dispose of trash from restrooms, offices and other work areas;
- Clean and sanitize toilets, basins and urinals
- Clean mirrors, counters and sink
- Spot Clean walls and doors
- Restock toiletries in restroom dispensers
- Dust equipment and fixtures;
- Keep cleaning supplies in stock
- Must follow and adhere company’s and safety policies in the work place
- Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision
- Notify supervisors or managers of major repairs
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Maintain a professional image by wearing uniform
- Provide clients with exceptional customer service
- Must maintain a positive attitude with coworkers, customers and management
- Must arrive on time at job site
Qualifications:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- High school graduate or GED preferred.
- Minimum of 1-year experience in the janitorial or cleaning service industry
- Have the ability to read and communicate in English
- Have a working knowledge of basic cleaning equipment
- Physical ability to lift and handle equipment up to 35 pounds
- Ability to manage time efficiently
- Handle basic maintenance, building repairs, cleaning and other janitorial work
- Maintain a professional image at all times
