Building Maintenance Tech (Commercial/Facilities)

Job Description

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to support a 400,000-square-foot, five-story commercial facility in Warwick, RI. This position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day maintenance and operation of the building, including preventative maintenance, work orders, building rounds, and coordination with specialty vendors.

Rotating daytime schedule, Monday - Friday:
6:00 AM-2:30 PM
7:00 AM-3:30 PM
9:30 AM-6:00 PM

Responsibilities include:

Perform routine building rounds and identify maintenance needs
Complete preventative maintenance and assigned work orders
Replace air filters and perform general HVAC-related maintenance
Assist with motor and conveyor replacement
Troubleshoot and perform general mechanical/building maintenance
Escort specialty vendors throughout the facility as needed
Maintain a safe, clean, and properly functioning facility
Participate in an internally determined on-call rotation

Requirements
Previous building/facilities maintenance experience
EPA 608 certification required
OSHA 10 strongly required
OSHA 30 preferred
Experience performing preventative maintenance and completing work orders
Experience with general mechanical maintenance, including air filters, motors, and related building equipment
Ability to work all three rotating daytime shifts
Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and coordinate with outside specialty vendors
Reliable and dependable with a strong commitment to workplace safety
