Looking for a Security Role That Keeps You Moving?

Sibanye-Stillwater is hiring a Security Officer to join our 2nd Shift team at our Greenville, NC facility.

If you’re dependable, observant, safety-focused, and looking for a security position where you can stay active and be part of an onsite team, we want to hear from you.

This is a full-time, Monday-through-Friday position with a consistent 2:00 PM–10:00 PM schedule—no rotating shifts.

What Your Day Will Look Like

This isn’t a position where you’ll spend your entire shift sitting behind a desk. Our Security Officers play an active role in helping maintain a safe and secure facility.

You’ll:

Control facility access and verify employees, contractors, and visitors.
Patrol the facility and complete routine security and safety checks.
Monitor cameras, alarms, and surveillance systems.
Screen individuals and packages using security equipment.
Operate metal detectors, handheld scanners, X-ray equipment, and other security tools.
Assist with visitor check-in and escorts.
Respond to alarms, incidents, and security-related concerns.
Communicate with Security team members by radio and telephone.
Complete incident reports and required security documentation.
Help maintain a professional, safe, and secure environment throughout the facility.

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need to fit one specific background. We’re looking for someone who is reliable, alert, professional, and comfortable interacting with people throughout the workday.

You’ll need:

High School Diploma or GED.
Strong communication and observation skills.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to follow established security procedures and instructions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Prior security experience is a plus.
Military or law enforcement experience is preferred.

Position Details

Pay: $19.00 per hour
Shift: 2nd Shift
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Hours: 2:00 PM–10:00 PM
Location: Greenville, NC
Employment: Full-Time, Onsite
Rotating Shifts: None

A Few Position Requirements

This is an active, onsite security position. Candidates must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, conduct searches of persons and packages, and lift up to 50 lbs. when needed.

Employment is subject to applicable ITAR and NAID requirements and successful completion of required pre-employment screening, which may include a background and credit check, drug screening, and physical examination.
